Aloha and welcome to VASH Hawai`i Island ... the Visitor Aloha Society of Hawai`i
Our mission is to share the aloha spirit with visitors affected by adversity. We do this by
providing supportive services to help visitors cope with and recover from unfortunate
situations. Our hope is that the story they tell upon returning home focuses on the care
and love they received.
We receive referrals from our local area hospitals, the Hawai`i County Police Department and
other visitor industry partners. VASH provides supportive and caring services to visitors
who have experienced a medical emergency, or have been victimized by crime, or have
suffered another adverse incident while vacationing on the Big Island.
Our Vision is that every visitor touched by adversity will also be touched by the aloha spirit.
Our Values are Compassion, Collaboration, Cultural Sensitivity, Human Dignity, Integrity
and Respect.
