Gifts of Cash
A cash gift may entitle the donor to an income tax deduction to the extent

Gifts of materials, time and services are an important part of sustaining our

Memorial Gifts
A gift may be made in memory of friends and relatives. Families may specify
how these funds may be used to support areas of the VASH program.
In Honor Gifts
Donations may be made in honor of someone who has made a difference in
your life.
Gifts of Appreciated Stock and Mutual Funds
These gifts offer two-fold tax savings. Donors pay no capital gains taxes on
the increased value of appreciated stock and receive an income tax
deduction for the full market value at the time of the gift. Please consult your
tax advisor regarding your current situation.

| During 2010, VASH Hawai`i Island has assisted 931 visitors. Referrals increased 71% over 2009. Services have included emergency transportation, meals, clothing, lodging, help with changes to travel, emotional support, and other logistical needs. |
