VASH - Hawai`i Island
VASH Volunteers ... "Angels in Action"

This is how our VASH volunteers are characterized by visitors,
'angels in action'.

They provide emergency transportation, hospital visitation,
meals, lodging, and other logistical needs for travelers needing
assistance. Other VASH volunteers are specially trained by
Hospice to deliver specialized support in the case of a visitor
death.

As a volunteer organization, VASH relies upon our many trained
volunteers to provide needed services to visitors facing adverse
circumstances while vacationing on the Big Island of Hawai`i.
Dear Friends,
We want to thank you for your kindness
to my husband and myself when we
had to pay an unplanned visit
to the emergency room.
Your volunteer picked us up and
delivered us back to our hotel in
her van. We had a great visit and
would like to return.  Thanks for being
kind to strangers from Texas.
